Plastic Surgery Eye (peri‑ocular) Instruments Set

We understand that ordering a new plastic surgery eye (peri‑ocular) instrument set can be confusing, particularly because different surgical teams and individual consultants often have very specific preferences. To help simplify the process, we have compiled an example list of instruments that, in our experience, are most commonly used in reconstructive eye surgery. 

This set is carefully designed to cover the key needs of eyelid reconstruction, blepharoplasty, and other plastic‑ophthalmic procedures. It includes reliable tissue‑handling tools such as Allis forceps (3–4 teeth) and Littlewood forceps, together with delicate Halstead mosquito forceps for fine haemostasis. It also features two high-quality needle holders, a Crile‑Wood with tungsten‑carbide and a Masing needle holder, to support precise suturing in delicate periocular tissues.

To support surgical access and soft-tissue retraction, the set provides Gillies skin hooks and double-ended Kilner retractors, along with utility and tenotomy scissors (Mayo and Stevens), allowing flexibility for both cutting and delicate dissection. The inclusion of a No. 3 scalpel handle further gives surgeons control for incision placement and shaping.

Electrosurgical capability is covered with straight bipolar forceps (0.5 mm fine tip) and a 3‑metre twin‑lantern bipolar lead, helping to deliver precise coagulation while minimising thermal spread. A ball‑and‑socket towel clip, sponge‑holding forceps, and a DIN basket complete the set, offering secure tissue handling, organisation, and safe reprocessing.
