Surgical Holdings to showcase medical device repair, testing, and traceability solutions at EBME Expo 2025
We’re excited to be attending EBME Expo 2025, where we’ll be showcasing our latest innovations in medical device repair, testing, and traceability. Our solutions are already helping hospitals across the UK improve patient safety, support sustainability goals, and reduce costs.
This year, we’re focusing on the importance of objective, traceable testing to improve safety and simplify compliance in Sterile Services and Operating Theatres.
Here are some of the key innovations we’ll be bringing to Coventry:
- MedZense LG20-e Light Transmission Tester
The first device to objectively measure endoscope light transmission across the full visible spectrum, helping ensure endoscopes meet safety and performance standards. - DIATEG Professional Diathermy Tester
Rapidly detects insulation faults on electrosurgical instruments, reducing the risk of internal burns caused by damaged insulation layers. - Dovideq Light Control System
An intelligent solution that monitors and stabilises light intensity during endoscopic procedures, optimising visual quality while extending equipment life.
We’ll also be demonstrating the MOLE QVI fiberscope, an ultra-flexible 1.3mm borescope that makes quick, AI-enhanced inspections of small lumens within surgical instruments and endoscopes possible. The MOLE simplifies visual inspections, helping sterile service teams detect hidden damage, moisture, and debris with greater accuracy and less downtime.
Alongside our testing solutions, we’ll be showcasing our in-house repair services – helping hospitals save up to 60% on procurement costs by choosing repairs over replacement. Our services include:
- Surgical instrument repairs
- Rigid endoscope repairs
- Orthopaedic power tool repairs, including Stryker Systems 6, 7, 8, and 9
All repairs are carried out at our Southend-based facility using traceable, high-quality components and precision-engineered German fibre optics — ensuring quality you can rely on.
Traceability is at the heart of everything we do. We offer:
- Permanent laser marking to improve surgical instrument identification
- Flexible tracking solutions that integrate with or complement existing hospital systems
These tools help our customers maintain accountability and keep track of instruments throughout their lifecycle.
We’re also hosting an in-person session on Endoscopy in Coventry as part of our SH Live series. We’ll be sharing expert insights into optimising endoscope testing, repair, and visual inspection processes — and we’d love for you to join us. Register here for your place
We’re proud to support healthcare teams with practical, innovative solutions that help improve patient safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
Come and see us at EBME Expo 2025 for live demonstrations and a chance to explore how we can help you get it right, every time.
