Bissinger Electrosurgical instruments available through Surgical Holdings

Surgical Holdings is helping UK healthcare providers access a specialist range of bipolar electrosurgical instruments from German manufacturer Bissinger Medizintechnik.

Widely used across multiple surgical specialties, the Bissinger portfolio includes bipolar forceps, irrigating forceps and BiTech bipolar scissors, designed to support precise coagulation, dissection and tissue handling during surgery.

The range is suitable for a variety of procedures across neurosurgery, ENT, urology, gynaecology, thoracic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and general surgery.

Particularly recognised for its specialist bipolar technology, Bissinger offers solutions developed for delicate procedures where accuracy and control are essential. This includes instrumentation used in neurosurgery, ENT and skull base surgery, where surgeons often work within confined anatomical spaces.

The Bissinger portfolio complements the wider specialist surgical offering available through Surgical Holdings, including the Fehling range of skull base and transnasal surgery instruments. Together, the two portfolios provide healthcare providers with access to specialist instrumentation for complex procedures through a single UK supplier.

Among the products available are the BiTech bipolar scissors, which combine cutting, dissection and bipolar coagulation within a single instrument. The range includes standard, delicate and micro options to suit different surgical applications.

Bissinger also manufactures non-stick bipolar forceps designed to help reduce tissue adhesion during procedures, alongside irrigating bipolar forceps for applications requiring continuous irrigation and coagulation.

Dan Coole, Managing Director of Surgical Holdings, said:

“Surgeons increasingly require specialist instruments designed for specific procedures and clinical challenges. The Bissinger range provides high-quality bipolar solutions across a number of specialties, and complements our wider portfolio of specialist surgical instrumentation, including the Fehling skull base range.”
