Surgical Holdings to showcase instrument testing and sterilisation solutions at IDSc 2026
Surgical Holdings will showcase a range of technologies designed to help sterile services teams assess instrument performance, carry out detailed visual inspections, protect specialist surgical instruments and support effective sterilisation processes at IDSc 2026.

The range will include DIATEG Professional Insulation Testing, the MOLE Borescope by NuTrace, MedZense LG20-e, Bahadir Sterilisation Containers, the Conteg Container Tester from Entrhal Medical and INSTRUSAFE® sterilisation baskets for da Vinci® robotic surgical instruments.
DIATEG Professional Insulation Testing provides a fast, accurate and non-destructive method of checking the integrity of the insulation layer on electrosurgical instruments. Designed to detect even very small defects in instrument insulation, DIATEG enables teams to test both monopolar and bipolar instruments and identify damage that may otherwise go unnoticed.
Compact, portable and easy to operate, the system can accommodate instruments with different diameters and provides clear audiovisual signals when a fault is detected. By enabling insulation defects to be identified before an instrument reaches the operating theatre, DIATEG can support effective instrument management and enhanced safety during surgery.
Also being showcased is the MOLE Borescope by NuTrace, an ultra-slim, flexible medical inspection camera designed for Quality Visual Inspections (QVIs) of internal channels, small lumens and surgical instruments. The technology enables sterile services teams to visually inspect areas that can be difficult to assess using conventional methods, supporting a more thorough approach to instrument inspection and reprocessing.
Surgical Holdings will also showcase INSTRUSAFE® sterilisation baskets, designed specifically to protect delicate da Vinci® robotic surgical instruments during sterilisation, handling and transportation.
Developed to meet the particular requirements of robotic instrumentation, the baskets provide secure protection for valuable instruments throughout the reprocessing cycle. INSTRUSAFE® solutions have been developed through more than a decade of collaboration with Intuitive Surgical® and can help departments protect instruments, support efficient workflows and maximise instrument lifespan.
For the assessment of light transmission, the MedZense LG20-e provides an objective method of testing light guide cables and rigid endoscopes. Rather than relying solely on visual inspection, the system produces quantitative measurements across the full visible light spectrum, helping teams make informed and consistent decisions about instrument condition and continued use.
The system supports all major light guide cable and endoscope fittings, including rigid endoscopes with diameters from 2.7mm to 10mm.
Also on display will be Bahadir Sterilisation Containers, manufactured from anodised aluminium for durability, corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity. Their stackable design helps departments make efficient use of space, while a range of sizes and specialist configurations accommodates different instrument sets. The containers also feature the Bio-Barrier system for microbial containment.
Completing the range, the Conteg Container Tester from Entrhal Medical provides objective seal integrity test results in just 60 seconds. Its repeatable and traceable testing process helps sterile services teams assess container seals, identify potential issues and make evidence-based decisions about container integrity.
Visitors to the Surgical Holdings stand at IDSc 2026 will be able to see the technologies first-hand and discuss how solutions for insulation testing, quality visual inspection, light transmission assessment, robotic instrument protection and container integrity can support safer, more consistent and efficient sterile services workflows.
