This week at IDSC- Showcasing our sustainable and cost-effective Repair Solutions

We are excited to be attending the IDSc 16th Annual Conference in Birmingham this week (29th- 30th November) and we are all set to showcase our Sustainable State of the art Repair Solutions for instruments, full tray sets, Rigid Endoscopes and multiple power tools over the course of both days.

SMART REPAIR | SURGIFIX Online Portal

We consider our SMART REPAIR service to be defined by Quality, Good Surgery Outcomes, prioritising Patient Safety and Saving customers’ Money so that it can be spent elsewhere to help the NHS apply its costs to keep up with the demand of surgery waiting lists. It’s our way of doing our bit. Our repairs are a genuine long-term value solution, rather than a ‘quick fix’.

We also operate on a Repair or Replace Promise. We want to ensure that hospitals get the safest and best possible products, whilst avoiding cost spikes. That’s why if our skilled technicians are unable to repair an instrument to its original condition or better, we will replace it with a new one. This commitment applies to the 50 most used and repaired products.

Our highly skilled and experienced technicians each carry out a minimum apprenticeship of 5 years and are trained to manufacture instruments from scratch. We feel this is vital when knowing how to effectively service and repair them, with a full understanding of the mechanisms from start to finish. This skill set enables our customers to have complete confidence in the quality of our work.

Another component of our unique repair service, and probably one of the most unique offerings, is our Surgifix Online Platform. We’re proud to be the only company offering our customers the ability to manage and monitor their repairs online and giving customers direct access to communicate with the repairs team. Ask our Reps for a demo next week!

Customers can view pricing, run reports, and view the progress of repairs in real-time with live status updates and receive instant notifications.

Driving Sustainability in the Healthcare Industry

As an established, award-winning, British company for 30 years and counting, we facilitate Sustainability in Surgery; through our range of Reusable Instruments and Laparoscopic Instruments, of which can be serviced in-house by our experienced and specialist technicians. Our Smart Repair service for Rigid Endoscopes and our ‘as new’ full Surgical Tray Refurbishments, save 50% in CO2 vs buying new.

We consider our sustainable Repair service to be the SMART choice for sterile service and theatre staff. Our customers always know what they’re paying, and never get unexpected bills. We work together to help you avoid incurring spikes in cost as instruments reach the end of their life*2

As part of our drive to find more sustainable solutions for the healthcare industry, we repair instruments to ‘as new’ condition as many times as we can. This incentive not only saves money, as instruments aren’t bought as often, but it also means instrument trays can be repeatedly upcycled. Next week we will have an array of instruments on display. In the modern world, sustainability is at the forefront of political conversation, and we as a company do our utmost to find greener solutions, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and a greener NHS.

Did you know that Refurbishing instruments can save up to 80% of the cost of buying new? With compelling evidence to demonstrate effectiveness, independent research showed that instruments refurbished by Surgical Holdings had a 4x reduction in the amount of residual protein. The smooth and polished surface has an increased cleaning efficacy, and all refurbishments come with an 18-month warranty as standard. Standard turnaround times are 1 week, and an express 2-day service is available.

Our Repair Service extends to Power Tools

We’re proud of our broad ability to repair instruments, and our service extends to all major brands of Power tools, including Dyonics, Synthes, Sodem, Linvatec, Codman, Hall Zimmer, Microaire, De Soutter Medical and Stryker. Accredited to ISO 13485, our repairs cover performance testing, interior cleaning, replacement bearings, o-rings, controller, motor, yoke, lubricating, and function and we also conduct that vital safety test.

Being that we’re Teed up and ready to showcase our repair selection next week, why not list a wealth of “we can do’s” for you? We also repair electric cords, consoles and rechargeable batteries, including refurbishment with Ni-Cd elements replacement, contacts reconditioning and sealing. Electrical contacts, screws and shells can also be replaced.

We are specialists in the repair of Stryker System 6 & 7 Power Tools and also repair other brands of battery handpieces and all common pneumatic handpieces and hoses including Hall, Microaire and 3M. All dental tools can be repaired, including bearings and rotor replacement, and to even further add to the list, we can also repair Phaco Handpieces and Ultrasound Handpieces.

We think that’s enough telling you what we can do and why we do it. Come see our SMART REPAIR solutions for yourself at The Eastside Rooms this week at the IDSc Annual Conference. We’d be happy to discuss our educational opportunities and we have plenty to show to our fellow industry professionals. You can find us at Stand 36. We look forward to seeing you there.

*2 We repair instruments to BS5194 where possible, and OEM specification in accordance with the recommendations laid out in MHRA ‘Managing Medical Devices,’ ensuring CE marking remains valid.
