Surgical Holdings Unveil Company Values
Surgical Holdings is delighted to unveil its company values as voted by employees – Education, Transparency, Family and Passion. All employees were given a list of words to describe the company, and these were the most popular.
Here is what our staff had to say about us:
Education – It’s at the heart of everything we do. Our business has grown through our apprenticeship programme, passing surgical instrument-making skills onto the next generation. We also share this education with our stakeholders, by engaging in local careers fairs and CPD-accredited training, to help with the maintenance and prevention of damage to surgical equipment.
Transparency – We’re a manufacturer which is unique. We give our customers and stakeholders a 24-hour promise. On any given day, they can ask for a visit to our premises. We will be doing, exactly ‘as we say’ – instrument manufacture, implant manufacture, repair of instruments, repair of scopes, and repair of power tools. We are happy to discuss sources of materials and the labour standards we strive for through our supply chains.
Family – We are a family business. Chairman Phil started the business nearly 35 years ago. MD Dan joined when he was 16. The people in our business are the most important factor and we strive to create a family culture.
Passion – This is the main word we have fed back to us from visitors to our facility who get to meet our colleagues and technicians. Their passion for what they do and why they do it shines through, and we use this to drive the business forward for the future.
Resourcefulness – As a small business, this is one of our greatest strengths. Dynamic and flexible, we are proud to have a team of multi-skilled employees who can work in different positions across the business, for the benefit of our customers. This dynamism also allows us to quickly change direction, develop new solutions in-house and quickly launch.
